Aqua Clean provides industrial cleaning machines for mechanical workshop industry, railway companies and airline companies worldwide. The company’s machines are used by, for example, SEW, Siemens, Rolls Royce Aerospace and the Emirates airline.
”Industrial cleaning machines are important elements of mechanical workshop manufacturing and transport company maintenance processes. They clean large metal parts, such as industrial gear unit parts, train wheels or airplane rims,” describes Aqua Clean Managing Director Frey Taxell.
Main market area China, expertise an advantage
Aqua Clean expanded into global markets in the early 2000s. Today, the main market area of the company is China. According to Taxell, this proves that by providing quality and expertise, even small Finnish companies can be successful in global markets.
”Most of Aqua Clean’s orders include multiphase cleaning machines and other special cleaning machines for demanding cleaning processes. In these areas, the Finnish know-how, professional competence and quality beat the competition from countries of lower cost levels,” states Frey Taxell.
”So far, we have been responsible for the design, sales and maintenance of the equipment. After the manufacturing acquisition is completed, we will be putting a strong emphasis on product development in order to provide new machine types for these demanding uses. Aqua Clean has acquired a larger production facility in Hyvelänviiki, Pori, to which manufacturing will be transferred in December,” Taxell continues.
Sampo-Rosenlew considers the acquisition a good solution for both companies and the personnel.
”We are focusing our resources on our core business operations, which are manufacturing combine harvesters and forestry machines. We are confident that under Aqua Clean’s ownership, the industrial cleaning machine business will develop efficiently. We also appreciate the fact that the jobs will remain in Pori,” says Sampo-Rosenlew Managing Director Jali Prihti.
