The customer had been using a 2-stage Sampo Rosenlew washing machine that had served for about 20 years, but its capacity no longer met future cleaning requirements. In connection with a factory expansion, we delivered a 3-stage ACV-1.7-C24-3SD2 washing machine, designed for cleaning 2.4 m components in a vertical position.
The efficiency of the washing machine was enhanced with a dual-door design that enables through-feed operation and a T-rail system installed at the front door. Transfer trolleys can be connected to the T-rail carriages, allowing components awaiting washing to be stored in front of the machine. With multiple wash carriages, the T-rail conveyor, and transfer trolleys, the washing machine achieves exceptionally high capacity. In addition, the transfer trolleys make it possible to transport components within the factory environment without time-consuming intermediate loading.
The service life of the cleaning liquid is maintained with efficient oil separation using an Aqua Clean OS-series oil separator. The machine was also equipped with Aqua Clean’s own side-stream filtration system, which removes solid particles from the liquid and prevents sludge from accumulating at the bottom of the tank. The filtration system includes an easy-to-replace bag filter, enabling particle removal down to below 50 µm when required.
